As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

In this article I will show you how to get your Instax film bulk order at the cheapest discount prices, saving you up to 50% on your Instax film costs!  It’s important that you know the best bulk buying options before placing your order because, somewhat oddly, buying Instax film in bulk doesn’t always translate to the cheapest prices.

I have spent endless hours searching a variety of online retailer websites and forums to find cheap prices on Instax film and boiled this down into simple summaries to help you purchase your Instax film bulk order at the cheapest prices.  I have summarised this by camera type too so you know whether to buy Instax Mini, Instax Square, or Instax Wide film.

Besides price, there are a few other important things you should be aware of when buying instant film.  It would really annoy you, for example, if you ordered 100 sheets of cheap Instax film only to find out they have expired and when you use them that your photo quality is compromised.  This and other potential issues will be addressed in the Buying Advice section below.

One final important point to note is that I regularly update this article to ensure the prices are up to date as I have found, through personal experience, that Instax Film Bulk prices fluctuate quite frequently with no particular logical pattern so it is important to do the math and calculate the price per photo before placing your bulk order – don’t worry I have done the hard work so you don’t have to.

Instax Mini Film Bulk Prices

You can purchase Instax Mini Film bulk in orders of 10, 20, 40, 50 and 100 sheets.  As of today the cheapest option is the 20 sheets option which saves you 60% compared to the 10 sheets option.

For example, if you were to take 100 photos with your Instax Mini it would be $43 cheaper compared to buying the 10 sheet option.

Here’s the Instax Mini Film bulk order breakdown by camera type:

Buying your Instax Mini 9 film bulk order of 20 sheets is the cheapest option.  At a cost of $0.67 per photo this will save you up to $0.43 per image compared to buying 10 sheets.

Buying your Instax Mini 8 film bulk order of 20 sheets is the cheapest option.  At a cost of $0.67 per photo this will save you up to $0.43 per image compared to buying 10 sheets.

Buying your Instax Mini 70 film bulk order of 20 sheets is the cheapest option.  At a cost of $0.67 per photo this will save you up to $0.43 per image compared to buying 10 sheets.

Buying your Instax Mini 90 film bulk order of 20 sheets is the cheapest option.  At a cost of $0.67 per photo this will save you up to $0.43 per image compared to buying 10 sheets.

Buying your Instax Mini 26 film bulk order of 20 sheets is the cheapest option.  At a cost of $0.67 per photo this will save you up to $0.43 per image compared to buying 10 sheets.

Instax Wide Film Bulk Prices

As of today, the cheapest option for your Instax Wide Film Bulk order is the 100 sheets option although the prices are quite similar with the exception of the 50 sheets option which is incredibly expensive and similar to the trend we saw with the Instax Mini Film*.

In summary, buying your Instax Wide film in a bulk order of 100 sheets is the cheapest option.  At a cost of $0.79 per photo this will save you up to $0.61 per image compared to buying 50 sheets, or put another way this works out to be $61 cheaper if you shoot 100 photos!

Instax Rainbow Film Bulk Prices

Instax Rainbow Film Bulk

Instax rainbow film is becoming increasingly popular and for that reason I have decided to include a section on buying Instax Rainbow Film in bulk to help you save on your instant photography costs.

The cheapest option for the rainbow film is the 50 sheets option, which is interesting as that was the most expensive option by far for both Instax Mini and Instax Wide film (as I mentioned earlier Fujifilm seem to have no logical pricing structure and the prices often change for no apparent reason).

Buying Instax Rainbow film bulk order of 50 sheets is the cheapest option.  At a cost of $0.86 per photo this will save you up to $0.14 per image compared to buying 20 sheets, although it is still $0.14 per photo more expensive than the cheapest normal Instax Mini film option of 100 sheets.

Instax Film Bulk Cheap Prices for the Square SQ10 Camera

It’s worth noting here that the Instax Square film can now also be used with the recently launched Instax SP-3 printer.

Buying your Instax Square film order in 40 sheets is the cheapest option.

There’s not as big a difference in the price per photo between the 10, 20, 40 and 100 sheet options when purchasing Fuji Instax Square film with the 40 sheets option offering the best value at $1.32 per photo, and saving you 25% over the 20 sheet option which is a $43 saving if you shoot 100 photos.

Of all the 3 options reviewed here, the Instax Square film is the most expensive coming in at a price that is more expensive than even the Wide film which is larger in size.

It’s not all bad though, as we have seen the price of 10 sheets drop in price from around $17, when the SQ10 camera was launched in May 2017, to around $13 today.

As discussed in a previous article, the other cost-saving advantage of printing from the Instax Square SQ10 or Instax SP-3 printer is that you can choose/edit your photo’s before printing.  This is an advantage that you will not find with any other instant camera on the market today.

Instax Film Bulk Buying Advice

The instant film produced by Fujifilm is of a high quality and you should not encounter any issues when buying instax film bulk purchases.  However, there are a few things which you should be aware of to ensure you have film in excellent condition ready to capture great images at a moment’s notice:

  1. Always buy your film from a reputable source so you can be assured the instant film you order is genuine, not out of date and has been correctly handled during shipping.
  2. Online platforms such as Amazon also give you peace of mind with safe payment systems and reputable customer service.
  3. Store your film in a shaded, temperate climate as exposure to extreme heat, cold or sunlight could damage your film.  For example, do not leave your Instax film sitting on the dashboard of your car as it could experience some high temperatures there and direct sunlight on a sunny day.
  4. Be sure to check the expiry dates of your film before using it in your camera.  If I place a big order for 100 sheets I will usually set a reminder in my phone calendar at least one month before the expiry date to ensure I use all the film up before it expires.  Shooting instant photos with out-of-date film could compromise the quality of your photos which is simply not good enough when working in a medium such as instant photography.

Instax Film Bulk Summary

In summary, ordering Instax film in bulk does not always translate to the cheapest prices per photo and it is important to do the math and calculate which bulk order size will give you the cheapest price per photo.  As we have shown in this article, the best value and cheapest prices for each of the Instax camera range is as follows:
